I found the place to be very simple yet for some reason, very homely and "Puneri". Unfortunately, since TFT was winding up operations at its FC Road, branch, we were a wee disappointed to be deprived of taking home their Prawn Pickle. Nevertheless, great taste and great service. The Surmai Fry was an absolute delight and so was the Prawn Khichidi. The Prawn Fry too was a magical experience with every prawn and bite from the surmai literally melting in the mouth. The masala was marinated well and the prawns tasted delicious through and through. The Prawn curry was a delight served with plenty of jumbo prawns and a great curry which we relished with piping hot chapatis served straight from the shegdi! The Prawn Khichidi was an experience and believe me never have I seen such overwhelming generosity with the serving. Jumbos you finally stopped counting from the bowl and for a change I was wishing there were less prawns then I was expecting. I am not surprised at the ratings and love that patrons and TFT fans have showered and very sorry to see the FC Road branch closed down. My desire for more of the culinary taste of the grand lady chef's magic hasn't satiated and I will very soon be visiting TFT at Baner... simply to relive the experience!

This is my first visit to The Fish Thali and I am just blown away! I had the Special Fish Thali and to me the Prawns Sautelela just stood out. Combing it with the rice bhakri was perfect. The prawn Khichdi came next, which was very different. This is home style cooking and was just comfort food in the monsoon. I ended it with a modak and I highly recommend that as it’s freshly prepared and will take some time. I met the owner Shibani who checked with me if everything was ok. Definitely coming back here for some more yummy food.

Great food. Vikas helps you with a smile. Love the prawn dishes, be is the fry, Khichdi or the sautallela. Coming here again and again. Great place by Shibani. Met her the previous time and I can say this is better than Gajalee from Bombay that I am used to!

Good ambience. Great food. Clean and hygenic. For casual and other purposes it's best spot to visit with family or love ones.. Great quality and taste of fish fry which we had

The fish was a little rubbery, and the solkadhi little bit too watery, but apart from that, the khichadi thali was excellent!!!

Many items in the menu were told by the waiter as not available, specially the Prawns items. we had to eat what was available

The food was average overall—only the fish fry stood out. Unfortunately, the prawns khichadi had a fly in it; although the staff replaced it, the experience was unpleasant. Also, be cautious about the “staff welfare charges” added to the bill, which are essentially service charges and are illegal. While I was questioning this, the waiter went ahead and swiped my card without consent, leaving me with no choice but to pay. Definitely not planning to visit again.
