Tried out Rameshwaram Cafe in Viman Nagar and it absolutely lives up to the hype. The South Indian food here is genuinely top-notch and the taste is just as authentic as their original Bangalore outlets. The Ghee pudi idli and Benne dosa are absolute standouts-full of flavor and perfectly done. Their Filter coffee is amazing and the Cold Filter coffee hits just right, especially in Pune weather. The Filter coffee softy is something you shouldn’t miss-easily one of the most unique and delicious items on the menu. Be prepared for a wait since the place is almost always buzzing. On average, you might wait anywhere between 10–30 minutes, and weekends can get even busier. That said, they’ve made ordering smooth with one cash counter and two additional kiosks where you can quickly place orders and get tokens if you’re paying online. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the overall experience is fantastic. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving authentic South Indian food in Pune.

Food is very tasty and hygienic, with authentic South Indian flavors. However, the place is extremely overcrowded. Normal waiting time is around 45 minutes, and during peak hours it can go beyond 1.5 hours. The only negative is the long wait due to heavy crowding—otherwise, it’s a great spot for South Indian food.

apart from the crowd, which would be a problem all the time, the food was excellent and on point. anyone who loves south Indian food, should do a pilgrimage to the cafe.

I visited the Café at 9:30 am in the morning and it was quite crowded. I was lucky enough to find a place to sit because it mostly had standing tables and it was packed. They have a token system which moves fast and I did not have to wait very long to get my food. It was barely 10 minutes. I tried the Vada, Plain Idli, Ghee Podi Idli, Ghee Masala Dosa with strawberry milkshake and filter cold coffee. The food was extremely average and definitely does not live up to the hype. I loved the filter cold coffee and podi idli though. It was fun to visit once for the vibes but I myself wouldn’t go there again for the food.

The food was amazing loved the sambar and rawa masala dosa. 1. Organised seating should be provided even though you provide self service (take an example of sambar restaurant in front of yours. They provide organised seating with self service) 2. People are occupying counters like a wedding buffet. This doesn’t allow new customers to submit their tokens hence delay in service 3. credit cards are not accepted at self ordering kiosks(this will increase the customer base)

I went with my family and ordered podi dosa, butter masala dosa and filter coffee. First of all there is no proper sitting arrangement and you have to find a place on your own. When you are paying 170 rs for a small size dosa, this is really unacceptable. Still after all this, I had to wait approx 20 minutes and stand in queue to get my order as it's self service. Yes I forgot to mention that I didn't get a proper table (only chairs) where you can place plates. I had to manage myself by holding plates in hand. Finally taste wise it was really average and I came to the conclusion that it is just a hype that's it.
