Some places aren’t just restaurants — they’re memories plated with flavor. Tiranga Bhuvan on Poud Road is exactly that for me. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, and stepping in again for their Akhad Festival felt like hitting rewind on all those food-filled Sundays with my family. The best part? They’re bringing back their OG menu, and it’s as nostalgic as it is delicious. Here’s what I tried (and devoured): • Alani Soup – Light, peppery, soul-hugging. The kind of broth that says “welcome home.” • Solkadi – Cold, tangy, and refreshing. A perfect balance to the spice parade that followed. • Mutton Sukka – Tender meat, dry-spiced perfection. This one hits hard on flavor. • Gavran Chicken Masala – Rustic, fiery, and full of that earthy gharghuti punch. • Bheja Fry – Melt-in-mouth texture, delicately spiced — an underrated gem. • Sajuk Tup Chicken Biryani – Rich, aromatic, dripping in ghee, and cooked with love. Every spoonful was a celebration. The Akhad Festival is not just a menu—it’s an emotion for every carnivore in the city. And Tiranga Bhuvan? Still a legend, still unmatched.

We were a group of 9 people, who went for authentic maharashtrian cuisine. We got a table after an initial waiting time of 45 mins. But, the waiting time was totally worth it! 1) Chicken Solapuri Kebab (5/5) - This is spicy dish from south central Maharashtra, with a supreme flavour of garlic and black pepper. The tender chicken pieces are roasted to perfection. It is served with a flavoured spicy salad of onion. 2) Chicken Handi (5/5, photo attached) - This dish was the highlight of our dinner night. A spicy red curry with mild condiments was served with butter roti and butter naan. The taste was divine. An unforgettable aura surmounts your mind as you enjoy each bite of this dish! 3) Chicken Biryani (5/5) - The famous "Sajuk Tup Biryani", which translates to desi ghee biryani is an authentic maharashtrian dum biryani. Served with 3 chicken pieces, the dish has a brown colored masala which mainly contains maharashtrian spices. Be ready to indulge in this oily delight, and don't heed in to your thoughts of health consciousness!

I ordered mutton delicacies taste wise it’s dam good fab. Biryani was also nice on point the only thing they lack was on pieces of mutton in gravy or biryani. Unlike Persian darbar Whch gives good qty of mutton pieces.

Visited Tiranga after hearing a lot about their biryani. Ordered Mutton Sukka, Chicken Lollipop, Sajuk Tupatil Chicken Biryani, and Solkadi. The Mutton Sukka was good. The Sajuk Tupatil Chicken Biryani was very tasty, with perfectly cooked rice infused with ghee and well-cooked chicken. Chicken Lollipop was crispy and flavorful. Solkadi was refreshing and complemented the meal well. The ambiance was pleasant and suitable for family fine dining.Overall, a satisfying experience with delicious food and good atmosphere.

too costly. food is not worth a single penny. i have been ordering from this place for many years, eventually, the food quality and quantity has deteriorated. hotel shreeman near Durga cafe serves better food than Tiranga.

I have been eating at this place for almost 10 years but over the period of time somehow they have lost their taste and quality. Had ordered for butter chicken but what came looked like a boneless chicken sukkha. Even the taste was not up to the mark. Upon confronting the waiter even he agreed that it looked dry. He tried to repair it but somehow it just didn’t work. I would have just let it to go but paying almost a whopping Rs.570 for half butter doesn’t justify. I really hope they improve on their quality.

very bad experience.. they serve the bad quality food, my friends was ordered the chiken biryani but they serve bad quality of food that had be 1 day before biryani rassa they serve us..! and when we talk about that.., they behave very rudely with us...! very bad place.we don't recommend anyone please..! check the food before eat..!

WORST HYGIENE. Stay away from them. I ordered a Chicken Biryani yesterday on 11th May 2024 at dinner time, I was shocked to see a DEAD WORM in my food. Will be putting up a complain about this to the food department. This place should be avoided
