It was a Saturday drive mood which started off to visit Seasons Mall at Magarpatta and almost reaching Magarpatta office buildings and Deccan Harvest by 1 pm. Then - Our lunch plan suddenly shifted to Vernekar Goan space (suggested ) from Magarpatta , so we drove more 45 minutes distance to have special Goan food. Having to wait for 20 odd minutes (worth) , we went for upper level table space by the window corner and the ambience has already set up the pace and hunger - now to walk through our order : starters were Bombil Rava Fry and Prawns Rava Fry with Goti Soda , main course as Prawns Curry , Crab Kheema, Bhakari , Ghavan , Half Prawns Briyani with the last desserts as The Goan Serrduna and famous Bebnica. We wish to appreciate the efforts of Samadhan (server) for taking good care of us during the one hour ordeal of our fight with the delicious food which lastly accomplished by 3.30 pm with our stomach full to the extreme limit. We wish to visit once more to this space soon … Hats off the entire Vernekar team and our humble suggestion - kindly keep the crab flavour alive in the crab kheema as we felt missing out.

From Mumbai via Talegaon. Happened to be at a friend's place in Mayur colony. One of the suggested places was Vernekars. Reached around 8 pm ,with waiting of 15-20mins. Hence ordered a takeaway. Took around 25 mins for delivery. Drew down to Talegaon for an hour & the food was awesome ! Surmai fish curry rice ( rice quality is different from the ones that we are used to, but ideal ) Bombil fry & stuffed bombil with sol kadi. Ended with a dessert - Serradurra. Relished it at home. Will surely come back - next time in Pune, hoping the quality & taste remains the same.

Very Good Sea Food for me and my Family always visit here. I Specially liked Surmai Rava Fry, Prawns curry and Pomfret Fry. Overall food is good. ( Must try their goti Sodas also) solkadi. The staff is also kind there and serve with love. Special thanks to owner Ajinkya Vernekar

If you can’t go to Goa every now and then, then go to Vernekar’s. Authentic food taste and Goan vibes Staff is courteous.

This restaurant was recommended by my friend who swears by it and also wanted to visit since have seen it multiple times as it is on main road. We were one of the first ones to arrive and were surly welcomed. The staff was good and we never felt unwelcome. Food: We ordered the Surmai (Bhakri & Ghavan version) and Chonak Fish Thali. The fish was fresh and of a decent size. No complaints there. The curry was typically Goan with prawns. Side dishes in thali were good too like sukat, papad etc. Solkadhi was ok. I didn’t enjoy the “ghavan”. Wife says, it might have been mixed with maida. It wasn’t warm at all. I regretted ordering Ghavan. Also Mum confirmed that Bhakri wasn’t cooked well. Things could have been much much better on that front. Fish itself was good for all! We ordered the Bebinca (never had one before) & Serradura (our captain insisted) . Bebinca was ok (needs bit of an acquired taste I assume). Serradura took my heart away! Absolutely loved it! Service: Good, Attentive, Decently quick ( may be because it wasn’t much crowded when we reached) Washroom: Clean Parking: Ample space on road Will I visit again: May be yes. But mostly it will be for Serradura!

I’d been wanting to come here for ages, finally had a chance to dine at this restaurant! We tried their Surmai Fry, Prawns Fry, Fish Fingers, Prawn Pulao, Prawn Biryani and of course, Solkadi. The fish and prawns were fresh, tasted so delicious and were well prepared. Solkadi was good too. Special shoutout to the fresh coconut chutney they brought out along with Tival. Normally, seafood tends to be overcooked in most places but here, I was so glad the fish was cooked to perfection! Super quick service and a very friendly staff too. Definitely looking forward to visiting again for more yummy meals :)

We travelled all the way from baner, to satisfy our craving for goan food, but it was disappointing experience. We ordered prawns, surmai and promplet thali, fish fry piece in thalis were small as per price and compare to other similar restaurants. Tival is just kokum water and suger in it. Curry is also average taste and very less quantity. Only one bhakri they served in thali, they may be serving two but did not bother to ask for another. Kismur quantity was as similar as chatni quantity

average food taste, not good service as well, over priced food with very less quantity. surmai thali had once very slim piece surmai, bangda was smelling old as well as the taste, mediocre. overall it was a very bad experience and there is nothing goan about this restaurant, staff was mostly people from north india, DO NOT VISIT THIS RESTAURANT!! a cheap 150 rupees thali in goa will taste better than this fake goan restaurant!!!
