Some restaurants feed you. Some feed your soul. We Idliwale, Baner does both — and then quietly asks for a little more than you expected on the bill. Worth everyrupee. We went four dishes deep. Here's what happened: 1) Beetroot Cutlet — Crimson, crisp-edged, earthy inside. The kind of vegetarian dish that makes meat-eaters go quiet and reach for another piece. Humble ingredient. Brilliant execution. My son, Ved, who also has great taste relished it. 2) Mutton Kothu Paratha — Messy, magnificent, and dangerously addictive. Shredded paratha tangled with spiced mutton, everything caramelised at the edges, fragrant with pepper. You will scrape the plate. No shame. 3) Chicken Stew — Pale gold, gentle, almost whisper-quiet. Coconut milk that comforts rather than overwhelms. The kind of stew that makes you slow down involuntarily. 4) Dindigul Mutton Biryani — This is not your theatrical Hyderabadi biryani. No drama. No excess. Just tender mutton, perfectly spiced rice, and a quiet confidence that needs no garnish.Lingering finish. Long after dinner ,I was still thinking about it. However, the only outlier was many small bone pieces we came across while enjoying this biryani. However, it was not a showstopper. Bonus: They carry bacon and pork items too — rare, brave, and very welcome in Pune. Verdict: Prices lean premium. Food leans exceptional. Finger-licking good is an understatement — this is the kind of meal you eagerly look forward to.

This place is already known when it was We Idliwale few years back and how much I loved the food here! Well We Idliwale Barroom is a total upgrade and with its exclusive membership - The Barroom Collective, the experience gets even better! Coming to the food, the menu has great options to choose from and each dish is well curated with the perfect ingredients! Pair the food with well crafted cocktails and the taste is even better! I personally loved few dishes like Rassam, Banana Beetroot Cutlet, Kerala Fish Fry, Chicken Ishtew with Appam , Biryani and not to forget the meal ended on a sweet note with Filter Coffee Opera! Every dish had a distinct flavour and the hospitality was top-notch! Definitely recommending this place!

Took us 1.5 years and multiple cancelled plans to finally get here — and honestly, worth every failed attempt. We Idliwale Barroom is the real deal. We tried the Podi Prawns, Chicken Ghee Roast, and Idli Chicken — all exceptional. The Idli Chicken in particular is a must-order; creative, comforting, and absolutely delicious. The Tamarind Whisky Sour rounded things off beautifully — one of the better cocktails I've had in Pune. Service was top-notch throughout — prompt, friendly, and genuinely attentive. If you've been on the fence, stop overthinking it. Go. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Loved the overall vibe at We Idliwale Barroom — warm, intimate, and perfect for a great evening out 🍸✨ The regional South Indian–inspired dishes were unique and really well done, and the cocktails were smooth and beautifully crafted. Also really liked The Barroom Collective concept — it adds that extra touch of exclusivity and makes the experience feel more special. Definitely a place I’d come back to! 💛

We had ordered the chicken kothu parotta. Neer dosa was not available at 9pm on a Sunday evening. Hence, we ordered the parotta with chicken stew instead. The stew was absolutely flavourless. It was watery and lacked any spices. Overall a very average experience. Could not understand all the hype around it
