This is a long pending review. Took my Parents out for a quiet dinner to Whispering Bamboos, oriental restaurant at the Taj Blue Diamond in October 2021. Must say it is a serene place with Bamboo shoots interspersed into every nook and corner of the restaurant. In addition there are props and oriental decor with a cascade of waters. They serve a very scrumptious Crispy Peking Duck- we ordered half a duck which comes with Chinese pancakes aka scallions, hoisin sauce and honey sauce with a side of Chinese pickled salad, similar to Khimchi or Xinqi. Since I have a thing for Crispy Conjee Lamb, being our most preferred and widely ordered dish in Dubai, especially for my Parents, we didn't think twice. However it arrived too deep fried it almost burnt. They instantly and happily replaced it- which was perfect- crisp crunch and optimum seasoning. Golden Fried King Prawns- One of their Chef's special dishes, it was crisp and the element of crunch was there but it was too oily- I could see oil oozing out from it. Honey Glazed pork Ribs- another family weakness- it was nicely done, well plated very well flavoured. Ribs were soft and succulent and juicy. For dessert we had Brownie with Ice-cream which is as per SOP. For drinks we had Virgin Mojitos, Virgin Pina Coladas and fresh lime soda. Service followed all the etiquettes. They gave us a Patriotic discount of 20 percent of total bill amount which is standard I guess in all Tata est for AFs.

Amazing and authentic food with great service. Suggestions by Ms Kirti was really worth a try. Must try the Honey Chilli Lotus Steams, Water chestnut dumpling with Spicy Sauce and Chocolate Moose. Thank you.

I would say the best chinese fare that i have had in Pune. They have a limited but a very consistently tasty menu. The portions are ample enough unlike other Chinese eateries which really skimp on the dish quantities. The service is always professional which Blue diamond has maintained over the years. The seating ( I am picking on nitty gritties now!) can be made a bit more comfortable as the chairs are a bit not so comfy. But overall a very pleasant place for a family outing if there are no noisy table occupiers. Highly recommended for a wholesome and tasty chinese meal.

Service was very good and quick. Staff are very polite, courteous and well groomed. Food was good but did not make us go wow. However, their signature fried rice was unique and different from what we've had elsewhere and would highly recommend it. Overall, it was a very good dining experience.

Good food , great service and excellent ambiance but the menu displayed on the zomato have wrong prices .They are at least 40 % higher than those mentioned on the website for example the soup says 250.00 on Zamato but We were charged 450.00 all others items too had almost 40% difference.

being a big fan of Taj group and keen to experience a restaurant with 4.9 rating, I decided to visit the restaurant today. For once was disappointed with the food ,thou service remained impeccable from the staff. I would like to highlight two things 1. the food quality and taste was strictly ok, especially the lung fung soup 2. on giving a feedback, surprisingly the waiter came back saying the chef has said it was usually what they served. he had no time to speak to us as he was busy with the new year schedule. Very unlike a premium hotel especially TAJ total disappointment, hope Taj is listening

Average experience. Server santosh needs refinement. Basics like greeting with a smile is taught in kindergarten! Food is quite overpriced for the quality, too heavy , too oily, veggies lacked freshness. These bamboos are certainly whispering to stay away.

The food was way beyond our expectations and it tasted not even close to what a restaurant of this league should offer. The prawns were thick coated and gravy was nothing but cornflour in it. Also, jasmine rice has absolutely no flavours. Kung pao chicken had cashews which were moist and the gravy was tastlesss. Horrible experience
