Excellent food and fantastic service. Ordered the bibimbap and Kaya (dessert)—was delectable. Would certainly visit again!

My recent visit to Xa'o Asian with my two brothers turned out to be a really enjoyable experience, highlighted by exceptional service from our server, Pranav, who was knowledgeable about the menu and consistently attentive throughout our meal. We started our experience with a variety of small plates; the egg gimbap was particularly impressive and the kaaraage chicken was well-prepared, though the chicken pot sticker dumplings fell a little short of expectations. Moving on to the main courses, the Hunanese chicken was the clear standout, offering a well-balanced and flavorful profile similar to Khao Man Gai, complemented by excellent accompaniments. While the five-spice pork belly tasted great, it felt a bit pricey given the modest portion size, and the Indo Asian peanut noodles were average. We finished the evening on a high note with the Thai sticky rice and mango, which was truly excellent thanks to the fantastic salted coconut sauce. Given the high quality of the best dishes and the great hospitality, I am already looking forward to returning soon.

Food was tasty and well seasoned. Spiced pork belly with rice was the best, had apt spoce level with juicy pork pieces. Udon noodles were a bit too spicy but tolerable for Maharashtrian/ Indian taste buds. Some dishes especially Chicken bao which had just 1 bao in a portion and the noddles seemed overpriced. One needs to be patient as it takes considerable time to serve. But when you taste the food, it feels worth the wait.

the teokbokki was so soft and perfectly cooked. Garlic soy udon and dan dan mian were good too.The shitake crystal dumplings were mid.

The food was good. But the service was immensely slow. Could work on the seasoning of appetizers

The food took about one hour to be served, and the cold coffee was served in thirty minutes.

I expected more from the food, especially given the menu. We tried the mushroom karaage, which was quite oily, and unfortunately the oyster mushroom itself got lost in the preparation. The steamed prawn har gow was fairly ordinary—essentially a standard prawn dumpling without anything particularly memorable. We also tried the Vietnamese steamed fish, which was overcooked and dry. It also lacked the fresh, vibrant Vietnamese flavour profile I was expecting. One thing that stood out was that all three dishes were served with the exact same dipping sauce, which made the dishes feel a little repetitive rather than showcasing their individual flavours. Overall, the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations.
