I wanted to have some drinks and a relaxed night… if I’m willing to pay a couple of thousand, at least the bouncer can my write my details instead of making me write it …. Anyway heading in I found staff here extremely judgemental.

In Raipur for a quick business trip, I decided to stay for one night and although the stay was quite alright, there were no other visible options in sight to go out for Dinner, so we decided to try the Indoor Restaurant within the Grand Imperia. We had to catch a flight back to Delhi so it was early dinner at 6 PM. After ordering Beer with peanuts and papad, the Dal Nawabi with Steamed Rice was quite good. The quantity was also alright (despite the fact that Tandoor was off because of 6 PM). However, after completing food, when I received the Bill and observed that they had not deducted 15% discount, on advising them; the 2 waiters named Lal Bahadur and Sujeet turned into bouncers telling us that the Bill has been printed and they can do nothing about it. The Manager is off from duty, they do not have his Contact Number and the Junior Manager on Reception is also unavailable. I simply marched into the Cloak Room finding the Junior Manager playing mobile game in solace and on cornering him, I politely asked him whether he genuinely wanted me to visit again. He was the one who had offered me a great discount on room tariff and all food bills. He immediately went behind the Kitchen and in 7 minutes, turned up with a fresh printed Bill with discount. (Please read my review about their open air lounge Essence the previous night). On retrospection, I suspect it might be a small-town thing that the waiting staff is not groomed well enough to take the pressure and complete the minor tasks with speed, ease and smile. I would hesitate to visit again in future. Waiting Junior staff needs Training!!!

You can definitely visit this place if you want to waste your money! Not worth it at all. Staff has excuses for everything. They will blame you or others but won't accept their own faults. Also, their menu is not updated. The prices you'll see in the menu available will be less than what they'll print in the bills and they'll just say, "updated ni hai menu" as if that is also our fault. Total waste of money, time and experience. Never going back again to this shithole!

I think they should start asking before ordering, wheather this is for humans Or animals. What a pathetic staff they might be having, ordered a curry of paneer nd they have delivered paneer tikka and that too also uneatable... Today I just donated 450 to grand imperia..

uneducated & untrained staff, even the manager here doesn't have etiquette to talk. Over expensive. Just a horrible experience. Think twice before visiting here if you value your hard earned money.
