Have been visiting this restaurant for past 20 years now. Still it is my go to place anytime anyday. Have travelled pan India but can bet my life the chowmein and paneer chilly they serve here, nothing can beat that. Kaveri has upheld the authenticity and taste all these years. Whenever i come to Ranchi I don’t leave without visiting this place

Quality and quantity of food served is awesome. A wide range of dishes are available to choose from. Staff behaviour is also good and hygiene is properly maintained.

Yesterday I ordered Chilly Paneer and other dishes from Kaveri Restaurant through Zomato. Though Kaveri has a credential of good food quality, sometimes they provide previous day prepared dishes after reheating. Same thing happened with me for Chilly Paneer. The taste was stale and not like freshly prepared. I wish, Kaveri should not deteriorate.

Insects on walls/floors. Dirty table cloths. They just fry everything and put a lot of oil.

Kaveri is more of a childhood nostalgia for most growing up in Ranchi- the taste of paneer chilli and dosa and pizza, everything. After experiencing some of the best eateries in India and abroad, I come back to this place, always appreciated the taste it has maintained over years and the service efficiency. The waiters do not use any ipad or notepad to take orders and still you get everything correctly on the table. So yes, after studying and experiencing the services across the bestest of places, I have been an advocate of the place. But today and last couple of times, things seem to change. The waiting queue management is not like before anymore. It was one of the places which took no prior bookings and no priority given to anyone - first come first serve has been their way of service. However this seems to have changed, n it is at the mercy of a few at the main door. After waiting for almost an hour and seeing that others were prioritized who came late, i literally had to question them strongly to which the manager misbehaved and shouted back! He said , unless I approve, you won't get the table here. It was not the Kaveri it used to be before. After testing the patience to the core, the guy had the audacity to behave rudely. This only proved that he was not doing the right allocation and was picked immediately on that. For all that's worth, it won't last long. I have already started hearing people talking while waiting to go to other eateries and not bear the behaviour of the staff and the unjust allocation of the table. Having said that, the server of my table was really good and courteous and ensured a good time once the table was allocated. But I am really questioning my eagerness to visit the place next time I come back to Ranchi! Is it really worth waiting and bearing the rude and uncouth behaviour of the staff? Not really. I go back to relive the taste and nostalgia, not to hear some uncultured rude remarks of a random person.

This hotel is absolutely terrible. The employees, manager, and bouncers are extremely unprofessional and violent. They recently assaulted my close friend very badly. I have also attached the video of the incident (sourced from media) which clearly shows how brutally they attacked him. ⚠️ For your own safety, I strongly warn everyone: Do NOT visit Kaveri Hotel in Ranchi. faltoo me time wasting jagah hai they waste too much time of customers. one who has surplus time can go there and wait in queue for long duration.... today I have wait there approx 1.20 hr to take entry in the restaurant sad for such prestigious restaurant.

Got recommended by an old Ranchi timer, but was honestly very disappointed with both the food and the service. The tablecloth and seats were dirty, with visible food stains. Really expected better, especially given how popular this place is supposed to be.

I ordered six butter nans @ Rs.71 per nan alongwith paneer Mushroom Taj,however,I have delivered plain hard nans which were too tough to eat.
