Great place for a date night! Chef Ajay took great care of us and made our experience even more enjoyable. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be visiting again. We tried a variety of dishes during our first visit, and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. We had a great experience and would definitely love to come back. The prices were very reasonable compared to other cafés in the area, and the location is excellent. Highly recommended!

This place is a must visit for breakfast. Very patient staff who prepare the menu diligently and serve with a smile . The food is tasty , hygienic and one can enjoy the food with a beautiful view of the Ganges. Ordered Veg parantha, gobi parantha, mix pakodas and besan chilla tea and coffee which were 👌🏻.

Barasingha Café in Rishikesh is truly a hidden gem. I absolutely loved the unique concept, the beautiful location, and the delicious food—but what stood out the most was the vibe. Calm, soulful, and perfectly in sync with Rishikesh’s spirit.

I visited Barasinghaa Cafe with friends and left disappointed, less because of the prices than because of how a simple question was handled. The food was average at best, and the portions were small for what we paid. When the bill came, we found a ₹100 charge for a Thums Up with an MRP of ₹70. That price wasn't on the menu, and no one told us about it when we ordered. When we asked about it politely, the staff said the extra ₹30 was for "AC, chairs and table." We asked to speak with the owner to clear it up. She refused to come over. Not even a few minutes to hear a customer out. The café has since replied to reviews citing a Supreme Court ruling and saying their prices are "clearly written on the menu." Restaurants may legally charge above MRP, but that ruling assumes the customer knows the price before ordering. In our case, the beverage price wasn't listed, and we weren't informed before the order was accepted. I've also noticed that some reviews from our group are no longer visible, which is concerning for anyone relying on reviews here. I wouldn't go back. If you do visit, ask the price of anything not on the menu before you order.

⭐ 1 star — Absolutely pathetic experience. One of the worst cafe experiences I’ve had. The food quality was pathetic, the service was terrible, and the management was extremely unprofessional. The biggest issue was the billing. We were charged ₹100 for a Thums Up can with an MRP of ₹70. When we questioned why we were being charged above the MRP, the response was that the extra ₹30 was for “AC, chairs and table.” Seriously? These charges were not clearly communicated to us before ordering. We asked to speak to the owner to discuss the issue, but she simply refused to come and talk to us. Not even willing to hear the customer’s concern. That says a lot about how this place treats its customers. Food was disappointing, service was poor, management was worse, and the attitude towards customers was completely unacceptable. Definitely not worth the money or the hassle. I would strongly suggest checking the bill carefully before paying and asking about any additional charges before ordering.

Very disappointing experience at Barasinghaa Cafe, Rishikesh. The overall experience was not at all worth the money. The food quality was disappointing, and the quantity served was extremely less considering the prices. What made the experience worse was the behaviour of the staff. Instead of addressing our concerns politely, we experienced rude and unprofessional behaviour. A good location and ambience cannot compensate for poor food, inadequate portions and disrespectful customer service. We expected much better hospitality and value for money. I would strongly suggest the management pay attention to both food quality/portion sizes and, more importantly, the way customers are treated when they raise a genuine concern.
