Selvi Mess is among the legendary hotels on the western side of Tamil Nadu . It’s Must visit if you are in Salem and in need of Non Veg food having authentic Chettinad and Tamil Nadu cuisines . Authentic local dishes available here are a must try and you also get great seafood which is awesome even though Salem is atleast more than 250 Kms away from the nearest sea! Just don’t look for ambience though✌️

Occasionally me and my friends and even some time with my Family I visited selvi mess.Looking outside I felt like an local restaurant expected average taste but it's truly magical and awesome in taste.Wide number of varieties particularly non veg items.Killing taste.Loved to hangover with friends and families the best and first choice......

One of the best places in Salem. Please don’t forget to try their chicken 65. It’s the best I’ve tasted ever in my life! And the Mutton Biriyani is to die for! For someone who loves authentic South Indian non-vegetarian cuisine, this place is heaven, trust me!

I went to salem to meet my friend. I thought to try this place as I am keep on hearing a lot of positive reviews. I went to saturday it was crowded. One good thing about this restaurant is completely non veg. I got seated once i got into this restaurant. At first I have ordered Mutton biriyani and Pepper chicken. Mutton biriyani came very fast in a quick time and it was followed by pepper chicken. Biriyani was good it had around 4 to 6 mutton pieces it was soft and cooked well. Pepper chicken was equally good. Then we have ordered kushka, chicken masala and vanjaram fish fry. Kushka had an boiled egg too. But highlight was chicken masala, even though it was oily i liked it a lot because of the taste and spicyness. Then Vanjaram fry was awesome. It was fresh one and fried well. Quality - 4/5 Quantity - 4/5 Service - 4/5 Ambience -4/5 Overall I had great dinning experience at this restaurant. It a must try place for non veg lovers!

One of the best places to eat non veg food in Salem. The restaurant is very crowded most of the time. The taste is very good yet the quantity cam be improved. Neat and hygienic. The flavours in the food are mind blowing.

The other selvi mess is good compared to this one ! Food is not up to the mark and the service is also not up to the mark ! Taste is very normal and it is a one time place to eat wid friends

I went to selvi mess to have a chicken Briyani.. The quantity is high and with that chicjen briyani the provide a boiled egg... The chicken briyani is really tasty..

The quality and taste of food is always superb. There will be few staffs who are taking orders when we sit at a table. Among them, there is one person who is very local and he doesn't understand the prestige of people who are coming to Selvi mess. He is always trying to sell what he wants and he is not respecting the customers. We usually see such kind of sellers at local hotels and not at established hotels. I don't know how Selvi mess is recruiting these kind of people because ultimately they damage the name of Selvi Mess. Next time when I am visiting Selvi mess, definitely I will take a pic of him and upload here
