We are in Rajasthan from 18th October onwards and until yesterday it was a fabulous experience and thanks for the hospitality from the people of Rajasthan 🙏 We are 3 families on a tour in Rajasthan with 2 infant’s along, was travelling from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur via Pokhran and just after entering Pokhran we stopped for a late lunch at 3:30 pm at Hotel Nirmal & Restaurant (Pokhran). Incident brief: We along with 2 kids and 6 adults went inside for a lunch together with hungry kids and asked for the menu card, the waiter provided us the same and we found exorbitant pricing for outsiders and it was a different menu card (example: A Dal-Bati-Churma) was priced at 600/-. That's perfectly fine if it's highly priced and no issue with that as it's a restaurants prerogative, but it started after that when we ordered 3 thalis (2 punjabi and 1 Gujarati thali) as per the menu card after checking the exorbitant prices on alacarte - The waiter called the owner/Manager to negotiate the order placed, he came and said that yes Thalis are available and we ordered 3, then suddenly he said no we can't give 3 thalis as it's only for buffet (no where it's mentioned on the menu) - We said that just now you said it's available and now you are saying something different? We said 3 thalis would be enough as 2 kids are there with us and it was quite late & we will share our lunch and leave for Jodhpur at the earliest possible. - *He said we can't give you thali and you have to take Alacarte as it's not suiting our cost. (1 thali is costing around 450/- each I.e. around 1500/- would have been the billing amount) but he said if you have to have food only alacarte will be available)* He simply missed behaved and denied us food even after seeing kids hungry just to satisfy his cost. No where in India we can deny food to anyone as it's a gods charity that we believe. This person has no right to deny food being an Indian. I have seen no. such person Rajasthan so far who disrespected a tourist. We have so many Rajasthani friends in kolkata and have never came across such incidents neither we do the same. This person's food license should be Cancelled immediately, or fined or ask for an apology. This person can't hold Rajasthan's Legacy. I have spoken to our tourism department in West Bengal (with known friends in dept.) and will also take this up seriously as we Bengalis have a deep connect with Rajasthan. Hope they take this matter on a serious note and appolosize at “sunny100101@gmail.com as we will lodge a formal complaint with Rajasthan tourism (Have Spoken to Sri Krishna Kumar ji, Sarita Madam ji who had assured that steps will be taken) *Note: A restaurant can deny food only if it's not available but after giving a yes and then not offering food just as it's not satisfying his cost is a crime.* Please act.
