Stopped by Beyond Gelato after dinner on Mall Road and honestly it turned out to be the best part of the evening. The place has such a lively dessert-bar vibe with warm lighting, good music, and the smell of fresh waffles and brownies in the air. We started with the Nutella Ferrero gelato and Belgian Chocolate gelato, and both tasted incredibly rich and authentic without being overly sweet. The texture was super smooth and creamy, definitely felt like proper artisanal gelato rather than regular ice cream. We also tried the Burnt Basque cheesecake and a warm brownie with vanilla gelato, and the combination of warm chocolate with cold creamy gelato was honestly perfect in Shimla weather. What I really loved was how balanced everything tasted. Even the richer desserts didn’t feel heavy or artificial. The presentation was beautiful, portions were generous, and every dessert felt thoughtfully prepared. The menu is surprisingly extensive too — from Banana Split 2.0 and Hot Fudge Frenzy sundaes to tiramisu, sticky toffee pudding, waffles, frappes, affogatos, and cheesecakes. It’s the kind of place where you plan to order one dessert and end up trying four more. Definitely one of the best dessert cafés in Shimla right now.

Finally visited Beyond Gelato after hearing so much about it and it completely lived up to the hype. The café feels modern, cozy, and energetic at the same time — perfect for post-dinner desserts or late-night hangouts with friends. We tried the Alphonso Mango gelato, Biscoff gelato, Strawberry Cheesecake gelato, and their famous Matilda Cake, and honestly every single thing tasted fresh and premium. The flavours felt authentic instead of overly sugary, and you can actually tell they use quality ingredients. The highlight for me was the Mango Boba Sundae because the textures worked so well together and it felt indulgent without becoming too heavy. We also ordered waffles with gelato on the side and a cold coffee frappe, which made the whole experience even better. Service was quick despite the crowd, and the staff helped us pick flavours based on what we liked. The place has this fun atmosphere where everyone around you is trying different desserts and sharing bites. If you love cheesecakes, gelatos, brownies, waffles, or café-style desserts in general, this place honestly feels like dessert heaven on Mall Road.

Beyond Gelato is such a vibe! The place feels fun, fresh, and instantly puts you in a good mood. Perfect spot to just hang out and treat yourself. The desserts are seriously good—rich, creamy, and full of flavour without being overly sweet. You can tell there’s real thought behind what they’re serving. What I loved most is how it feels like a complete experience, not just a dessert stop. You walk in for something small and end up wanting to try everything. Definitely one of the most exciting dessert spots around.

Dropped in after dinner for dessert and loved the place. I had the Belgian Chocolate Gelato while my wife went for Salted Caramel, and both were rich without being overly sweet. We also shared a freshly brewed cappuccino, which paired really well with the gelato. The seating is cosy, service was warm and it's a nice little place to unwind after walking around Mall Road. Already planning to come back and try the waffles next time.

We stopped by Beyond Gelato after dinner on Mall Road and were pleasantly surprised. The Alphonso mango and Belgian Dark Chocolate gelatos were incredibly creamy with rich, natural flavours, and the New York Cheesecake was just as good. We paired everything with cappuccinos and ended up spending much longer than we expected. It's a lovely little dessert café and definitely one of the best places in Shimla for a sweet treat.

Tried the Salted Butter Caramel gelato and a desi filter coffee-based flavour, and both stood out for how clean the finish was. The caramel had the right salty edge without becoming too sweet, and the coffee flavour actually tasted like real coffee, not essence. Consistency is solid — same texture and quality across visits. Feels like a place that focuses on doing a few things properly rather than overextending.

Found this place while walking on Mall Road and couldn't resist the charming train-themed setup. Tried the cheesecake and a couple of gelato flavours, and both were fantastic. The gelato was smooth, rich and not overly sweet, while the cheesecake tasted freshly made. The whole experience feels fun and different from a regular dessert shop. Perfect stop after dinner or an evening walk

Stopped here after dinner and ended up coming back the next day as well. The gelato was rich without being too sweet, coffee was excellent and the staff were genuinely friendly. Lovely little place.

Probably the best gelato I've had in the hills. The texture was incredibly smooth and every flavour tasted authentic. The café is clean, beautifully designed and perfect for dessert lovers.
