We had a great experience at Vik's. After a whole day of travelling and ending up at disappointing tourist trap restaurants, it seems like a blessing the experience we had at Vik's Kitchen. First, the place was very clean. The washroom especially was sparkling. We ordered Paneer Butter Masala, Dal Makhni and Naan. They said it will take 15-20 minutes for food to get prepared. The food actually arrived in 15-20 minutes. I never expected that it was going to be the best Paneer Butter Masala I ever had in my life. It was not over spiced, there was no oil floating around as you see in most restaurants. Dal Makhni was good. It was plain and simple without the usual heaviness you get at most places. The Naans we had, there were really delicious. They were soft but crunchy, with a smoky flavour. But the Naan service was slow. The bill came to Rs. 700 for 4 people. So around Rs. 175 per person. I think this is value for money. Lastly before going I bought a dark forest pastry which was priced Rs. 79. It tasted good. So by far this has been one of the best places I have had food in Shimla.

I love the burger of this place . The best burger available in Shimla. But other food it tastes so weird and heavy to eat. Good for quick takeaway but not good for dinein
