Very fast and professional service.. Staffs are quite decent and wear traditional south indian clothes. Must try south indian restaurant in Surat. Small but awesome ambience. Must Try Items :Podi Dhosa, Cheese Paneer Samosa and Bisibele Rice. One star less for food at bit high prices..

If you want to feel like a southern you should visit this place. Original southern test. Coconut and other diffrent chuttni was so so testy. Palakh paneer dosa was testy. So many south item including dosa was also available . And really we confused which item should test.

Dosa was too oily. Taste was average. coconut chutney quantity is too little. Thattu idli was not that it should be. better to eat soth indian at street side.

We had a very poor experience at Banana Patra. Only one person was taking orders in the whole restaurant, which led to long delays and confusion. The staff seemed untrained and overwhelmed. We ordered Coca-Cola, and they refused to bring the bottle to the table. Instead, they served it from the kitchen, claiming it's how they do it. Later we found out they use a ₹20 Coke bottle and charge ₹69 on the menu — which felt dishonest. We specifically asked to be served at the table to maintain the fizz, but they still refused. Food was okay but not worth the bad service. Would not recommend unless they seriously improve their staff training and stop misleading customers.

The timing mentioned here is incorrect. They have displayed Openम but when we entered the staff informed us that it is closed in very rude way as they don’t care for customers. When I inquired about timing mentioned on Zomato, the staff said we are not on Zomato which is lie.

I don't understand why people are overrating this restaurant. sambar was too sweet.. uttapam was very oily. rasam was very sour. chutneys were bland. it was horrible experience
