We were looking for a good restaurant around the textile market, and a shop owner suggested this restaurant to us. Hence, we thought of trying out the restaurant. We ordered a special thali, paneer kadai, masala papad, and the usual rotis and kulchas. The deluxe thali was excellent. The thali had two types of sabzis, butter chapati, dal fry, jeera rice, boondi raita, gulab jamun, buttermilk, papad, salad, pickle. The two sabzis were paneer lazeez and mixed veg. The former was slightly on the spicier side with cubes of fresh soft paneer in orange gravy. The latter, i.e., mixed veg, was, as its name, a mixture of veggies such as carrots, cauliflower, peas, beans, etc., in yellow gravy. Both the sabzis were delicious. The combination of jeera rice and dal fry was great too. While the boondi raita was lip-smacking, the gulab jamun was made in pure ghee and served hot. Finally, the buttermilk helped complete the food. The great thing about it was it wasn't even slightly sour, indicating the fresh curd used to prepare it. The Kadai paneer was also on the spicier side, with large rectangular cubes of paneer prepared in tomato-based orange spicy gravy. But the quantity was excellent and so was the taste and quality. We thoroughly enjoyed delving into the dish along with the tasty rotis and butter kulchas we had ordered. The butter kulcha was dripping with butter, as the name suggests. All in all, I would say the restaurant lives up to the name and is quite in line with the other Bhagat Tarachand restaurants I have eaten at. I would definitely recommend trying out their food.

Being a Mumbaite, I happened to travel to Surat. As the clock struck 8PM, my hunger buds were activated and this restaurant was right in front of my eye. Upon arriving the first question I asked “Is it affiliated to Mumbai branch?”. And the answer was YES. Hence quickly ordered as follows: Papad Churi, Chhaas Bottle, Paneer Pasanda, Masala Bhindi, Butter Chapati, and Dal Khichdi. I must admit that the taste exactly matched the one we visit at Mumbai Kalbadevi branch. Everything we ordered was absolutely upto the mark. *Same like Mumbai. *Good Quality maintained as per brand name. *Courteous Staff. *Worth visiting as always. Keep up the Quality and Brand image Bhagat Tarachand...!!!

We ordered Paneer Chilly which has very nasty taste and smell. It seems like the oil is of not good quality and taste and smells really bad. We won’t be able to finish it the food was really of very poor quality.
