Nestled in the heart of Thrissur, Loaves and Muffins stands out as a well-known Artisan Bakehouse and Cafe, with multiple branches strategically located in Kalathode-Parvattani, East Fort, and Peringavu. My recent visit was to the Kalathode-Parvattani outlet, a gem that has been welcoming patrons for the past six months. Managed by The Roasttown Group of Restaurants, renowned for their diverse and global cuisines in Kochi and Thrissur, Loaves and Muffins promises a culinary experience like no other. Menu: The menu at Loaves and Muffins is a testament to their commitment to quality and authenticity. Artisanal breads, delectable pastries, cakes, brownies, confectionaries, and snacks take center stage. Their in-house offerings include an array of tempting treats: Snack items: From the Chicken Sausage Puffs (Rs 133) to the indulgent Fried Hot Dog Croquette (Rs 200) and the flavorful Beef Bahn Mi (Rs 280), the savory selection caters to varied tastes. Bakery delights: The New York-style Milk Chocolate Wheel Croissant (Rs 120), Berliner Lotus Biscoff (Rs 135), and Classic Choco Walnut Brownies (Rs 133) showcase the artisanal mastery. Cakes: Indulge in a sweet symphony with options like Chocolate Cup Cake, Iranian Pistachio Truffle Balls, Coconut Chocolate Truffle Balls, Vanilla Cup Cake, Lotus Choco Cup Cake, and the luxurious Triple Chocolate Mousse Jar (Rs 185) and White Chocolate Vanilla with Caramel Jar (Rs 180). For festive occasions, Plum Cake and Carrot Cake are available in both 500g and 1kg, along with the opulent Russian Honey Cake (750gm - Rs 1050) and Hazel Nut Galaxy Cake (750 gm - Rs 1125). Pastries: Delight your taste buds with offerings like Eclair Caramel Pastry (Rs 160), Mango Cheese Cake Pastry (Rs 270), Sacher Cake (Rs 230), and Blueberry Cheese Pastry (Rs 260). The beverage menu at Loaves and Muffins is equally enticing, offering a refreshing array of smoothies, coffees, and more: Smoothies: Priced at Rs 150, the smoothies come in various flavors, complemented by the recent addition of Kambucha. Coffee: From the classic Espresso (Rs 70) to the indulgent Cappuccino (Rs 150) and Japanese Green Tea (Rs 70), the coffee connoisseur is in for a treat. Iced Caffeine: Beat the heat with options like Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Hazelnut Cold Coffee, Vanilla Cold Coffee, Peached Iced Tea, and Passion Fruit Iced Tea (all priced at Rs 140 and Rs 130). Mojitos: Elevate your experience with classic and innovative Mojito choices like Classic Mojito (Rs 100), Passion Fruit Mojito (Rs 120), Blueberry Mojito (Rs 130), and Strawberry Mojito (Rs 130). Cost factor: The pricing at Loaves and Muffins is a reflection of industry standards, with most items falling within the Rs 120 to Rs 200 range. Notably, a couple of items are attractively priced at Rs 75, ensuring a diverse and affordable culinary experience. Decor: The immaculate interior design, characterized by European-style cafe seating, creates an inviting atmosphere. With 3-4 tables accommodating up to 10 guests, the ambiance strikes a perfect balance between sophistication and warmth. Customer Service: Their customer service was good. Staffs here are courteous, friendly and attentive. Special mention to their staff Jowin who was there when I made the visit. Jowin gave a brief idea about their newly launched beverages and different variants of cakes that they are planning to launch as part of the upcoming X'Mas season. Food: I sampled their Classic Choco Walnut Brownies and Chicken Sausage Puffs, both priced at Rs 130. The brownies, served warm, were a luscious delight, while the puffs, though containing only one elongated piece of chicken sausage, proved equally satisfying. Personal preference leaned towards enjoying the brownies cold for an enhanced taste experience. In conclusion, my experience at Loaves and Muffins left a positive impression, prompting a desire to return and explore more of their diverse offerings. For those with a sweet tooth, this establishment stands out as a haven, crafting all its items with rich and quality ingredients. With the festive season around the corner, the promise of more cake varieties further adds to the anticipation of future visits to this amazing spot

A cute small place, loved the interior and outdoor space. Perfect place for a small coffee date. They have really good pastries, I tried their chocolate and caramel donut (called berlin something) it was really soft and filling was woah. Oozing out. Price is a bit expensive but portion is large. The staffs were attentive, one gentleman was taking his time explaining about their shop and pastries. They also have good savory items, didn’t get time to try them hopefully next time.

A beautiful cafe with amazing lighting and decor that transports you to a different place all together. Excellent service, if there is no event happening in the main hall, parking won't be an issue. I have visited the other outlet as well and I felt the same issue. Their savoury ( sandwich, burger, rolls or whatever ) is good, the bread everything is really good but the cup cake and the pastry that I ordered from both the outlets were not that great.
