Everyone who live in Thanjavur should definitely visit Vasantha Bhavan (near Philomena hotel) atleast for once. Once u visit the place u will never ever go to any other restaurant. This is one of the most underrated restaurants in here.

Went for dinner(2) before travel. Ordered Ghee Roast, Plain Dosa, Sambar Vada(2), and Coffee. Idly wasn't available for dinner. The Ghee "roast" was over-roasted. Other items were fine. Service could've been improved.

Visited this restaurant before a night journey. Idlies were not available, but dosas and parottas were. Service is not that great, you have to keep calling for the waiters. Food is okay though.
