We went there twice and had thali, fish fry, fish curry, atta porrotta and appam. The food was well cooked and delicious. The service was quick and the staff was responsive and helpful.

Situated near Leela, Kovalam beach, this restaurant had great staff and is near a top location. While the menu was elaborate with tons of great options to choose from, the food was not so delicious. Considering we were super hungry and still didn't enjoy the taste, we were disappointed. With the male crowd around constantly staring (not the staff but the actual people there), it also did get a bit uncomfortable although the restaurant isn't to blame (since they can't control the crowd). There was another family around feeling the same awkwardness. The food came fast, looked good, we just regret the taste didn't match the service. Maybe the other menu options were better, who knows!

We coincidentally visited this place, had no idea it would turn out to be great culinary experience in Kovalam! Located close to the kovalam beach, the place offers both indoor and outdoor seating a long menu that has your regular North Indian curries but also the authentic Kerala dishes. The seafood sadhya is a recommended dish We also tried the Kerala style fish curry, chicken curry, methi paneer, gobhi manchurian and the Kerala parota. Food is fresh and prepared with mild spices. The prices are reasonable Would recommend this to all looking for a good spot in Kovalam/ Thiruvananthapuram

Taste of Kerala, is a big restaurant, with both indoor and outdoor seating. It is in Kovalam, pretty close to Leela and Gokulam Grand Turtle Beach Resort. The food was tasty and there was fresh catch that you could choose from and it could be cooked 4-5 different ways. We ordered pomfret and prawns. The pomfret was fresh and the meat was tender and delicate. The kids enjoyed the prawns. Both the currries, Kozhi Mappas and ALeppey Fish were tasty. The service was prompt. Though we were the only people at that time in the indoor restaurant. There were more people in the outdoor seating.

We went there to have dinner on the 1st day of our Kerala trip. We ordered Tandoori roti and chicken curry. ~ Tandoori roti (5/5) - it was a little bit crunchy and not heavy at all. I loved it. ~ Chicken curry (4/5) - the curry was made in Kerala style with curry leaves and spices. I loved it. One plate of chicken curry had only three medium pieces of chicken which I think was a bit stingy given the price of the dish. ~ Ambiance (5/5) - beautiful and well-decorated. ~ Service (2.5/5) - it was very slow and unorganised.

During my Kerala trip couple of days back ,we happend to discover this place at Kovalam.thanks to Zomato for this since we wanted to try typical Kerala food.we ordered noodle rice ,rotis, chicken, roasted egg ,fish varieties and lot more. We had chai at the end too. Rates are so reasonable. Service fast too.must visit place to have local Kerala food experience!

Good for tourists, but they don’t seem to care much about locals. Tourists are prioritized, so even if you arrive early, you may be served last. The experience felt disrespectful, and my family and I won’t be visiting again. We felt judged based on our vehicle, clothing, and overall appearance, and the way the staff communicated with us felt noticeably different. I would not recommend this place to locals or families
