Visited here for morning breakfast before we start our day roaming around the streets. Ordered bread butter, veg sandwich with juice which makes a energetic start for the day. It was quiet place as we were there during early hours. Only few options are there for breakfast.

I had a traditional Rajasthani Thali at santosh’s. It has daal baati churma, rice, garlic chutney besan gatte, papad and chanch. Taste of daal baati was very authentic. Churma was made in gud rather than sugar. Prices were very reasonable. Staff was very courteous. Ambience is decent not so fancy.

Don’t know why this place is famous. We went out of our way to visit this place because we were enthusiastic about eating authentic daal bati churma in udaipur. Priced at Rs.190 pp, the daal bati thali we had here would be unanimously voted as the worst we’ve (there were 3 of us) ever had in life. The worst daals I have had in my hostel in college, would also pale in comparison to the pathetic daal we were served in the thaali. The gatta ki sabzi was also bland and unsavoury. The rice looked so dry that we didn’t touch it. Only good thing in the thali was papad. I am surprised how they didn’t ruin that. A strong no go.

This restuarant has good authentic dala bati. If you qre looking for value for your buck then I will recommend this. Don't expect a fancy thali like other high end restaurant. Here number dishes in thali are limited but taste is good.

The excellent is the only word to describe for this restaurant. We were at Badi lakhe for travelling and accidently meet owner of this restaurant. He suggested us to visit once for food and we have decided to take try. After seeing outside of this hotel we thought it will average restaurant but as soon we eat thali we realised that was the best dal bati thali ever of our all experience about Rajasthani food. Service was great and taste was awasome. We go twice there in our 2 day Udaipur trip. Staff was best in term of hospitality and service. I strongly suggest everyone to visit this place in Udaipur.

A trip to Udaipur without dal bati churma from this place is just incomplete. They have the best dal bati churma. But rest everything is just tasteless. In the thali option, the gatta subzi is pretty mild. The rotis are hard. And the Chinese is no good either. But there is just no comparison to the dal bati churma and buttermilk.

Today I have Order 2 Thali Dal Bati and one BUNDI RAYTA and payment done by card. But I only Received Dal Bati. My Order of BUNDI RAYTA is missing. And payment deduct from my wallet.

We had been to this place while our stay in Udaipur to have Dal Bati......they serve authentic dal batati and the staff is very courteous and the food is also good
