A Masterclass in How to Ruin a Celebration - Retro Bistro’s Epic Failure If disappointment had a restaurant, it would proudly call itself Retro Bistro. We booked a table for 22 people on Bhai Dooj, expecting a nice family dinner instead, we got a complete disaster from start to finish. The starters were dripping with oil, the main course arrived after two hours, stone-cold and absolutely tasteless. The breads were half-cooked, the curries felt like reheated leftovers, and the staff behaved like they were doing us a favor just by being there. Their idea of “premium dining” is clearly a joke it felt more like a punishment for trusting their promises. And when we politely complained about the pathetic service, the owner told us to “mind our language.” Maybe she should mind her manners because professionalism and basic respect were nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, smaller tables that arrived after us got their food on time, while our group sat hungry and humiliated. If you’re planning a group booking, be prepared to starve while watching others eat. For this brilliant experience, we paid ₹14,447, including ₹5,961 for food that was cold, undercooked, and completely inedible. Not a single apology, not even basic courtesy just arrogance. Honestly, Retro Bistro isn’t a restaurant anymore; it’s a live demonstration of how to destroy a good reputation in one night. Cold food, chaotic service, and staff who treat customers like an inconvenience. I’m from London, UK, and I genuinely wish the management would visit a proper restaurant here to understand what real hospitality means. What happened that night was shameful a total disgrace to the word “service.” Retro Bistro deserves a standing ovation… for failure. 👏 Save your money, your time, and your dignity because this place isn’t worth a single rupee.
