When I was in Vadodara and looking for an authentic Gujarati thali and got a recommendation for this place. Sasumaa is located in a prime location and when we reached there were already many people waiting outside. Try reaching there before 2 or 2.30 as after that they stop taking entries, we reached by 2.30 and requested the entry. Talking about the Thali it was filled with many varieties which were authentic and delicious, every food served was made in pure Desi ghee. Out of all the served items Matar Kachori and basundi were the best ones, ate raw haldi sabzi for the very first time which was a unique dish too. The price of the Thali is 320₹ which is a little bit on the higher side but worth the spending.

If you’re looking to indulge in authentic Gujarati cuisine, this would be a great place. Loved the spread and their hospitality. Service was excellent with courteous staff and prompt service. The food tasted delicious. I’d recommend this to any of my friends visiting Vadodara

Yummy food!!! Loved the biscuit bhakri…will surely visit again!! The overall service makes the food more yummy…as they keep on coming to offer more food!! Loved it!!

We visited the Alkapuri outlet for lunch. Only fixed Gujarati thali is available. Thali is priced Rs.360, which is very expensive for the food served. There are 5 sabjis, including Paneer butter masala. Indeed a unique Gujarati dish. Also dishes are served at ramdom, farsan coming 10 mins after we started eating. For breads only tawa roti and small bajra rotli are available. Food was decent tasting. Average experience.

All the vegetables were very oily and not tasty and not good variety as a thali should have. Only two types of rotis not like a usual thali options

I ordered a gujarati thali for lunch.. it was not a gujarati thali but it was more like Rajasthani thali with gatta nu shaak n paneer sabji. Gujaratis do not eat these kind of sabji’s in meal .. kindly understand the gujarati cuisine first and then try to improve the food you serve .. dessert was delicious though. The white sheera. It was nice n good in taste .

Thali without Chaas is not a thali. Food grade not up to the price. Would definitely not recommend even
