Wow finally a Gujarati+ Rajasthani thali worth craving in Vadodara that too at a reasonable price of rupees 330. Vadodara always had Gujarati thali options like Mandap, Gordhan Thal and Rasthal but in my opinion they are mediocre in quality with exorbitant prices exceeding 500 rupees in some cases. So after that having a Gujarati thali place with above average quality and good price is truly welcome. The restaurant is located on main street in Nizampura opposite HP petrol pump in one of the newly constructed buildings. There is ample parking available. The food served is a mix of Gujarati and Rajasthani thali, it was a loaded thali with 3-4 sweets, 4-5 sabjis /curries, two farsan and the list goes on. Have a look at the image to get a better idea. I am not a big Daal bati fan the one served here was exceptional, everything else was good as well except for the Gujarati dal and kadhi. It drives me crazy when they think that Gujarati dal and kadhi is all about adding tons of sugar which is not the case if you have it in a Gujarati household. Anyways everything else on the thali bailed them out in this case. The service was attentive perhaps very attentive and they were constantly hovering around and asking if we need anything, some might find this overwhelming. The restaurant has really nice interiors and can seat about 50 people and at this price it’s perhaps the best value for money thali in the city.
