Welcome to the inaugural edition of the BIS Smash - Alumni Padel Tournament.

We’re excited to invite you to the BIS Alumni Padel Americano on Saturday, 5th September 2026 at the World Trade Center, Mumbai. 🎾

The event will feature separate Women’s and Men’s categories, with registrations on an individual basis — so you don’t need to find a partner to participate.

WOMEN’S AMERICANO

12:30 PM – 3:00 PM

Maximum 14 players

The Women’s event will be played as one extended Americano session.

MEN’S AMERICANO

There will be two qualifying slots:

Qualifier 1: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Maximum 14 players

Qualifier 2: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Maximum 14 players

The top 6 players from each qualifier will advance to the Men’s Grand Final, featuring 12 players from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

Players may register for only one Men’s qualifying slot.

How does an Americano work?

An Americano is a fast-paced and social padel format where players register individually and rotate partners and opponents through a series of short matches.

Each match will be played for approximately 16 points, allowing us to complete as many rounds as possible within the available time. We will endeavour to give players a wide variety of partners and opponents, with the aim of each player getting at least 10 matches.

In a traditional full Americano, every player would ideally partner with every other player. Given the fixed event timings and number of participants, we may not be able to complete every possible rotation, but we’ll endeavour to get as close to a full rotation as the schedule allows.

Individual points will accumulate throughout the event to determine the final rankings.

Registrations

Spots are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Women can register for the Women’s Americano, while men can register for either of the two qualifying slots.

We look forward to bringing the BIS Alumni community together for a great day of padel, competition and catching up off the court as well.
