Termed as the “Amar Akbar Anthony” of the Indian music industry, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy forms the magical musical trio that has delivered some of the biggest hits of Indian music. They are in fact the most versatile band to have surfaced in a very long time, having composed music across five fundamentally distinct languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, and English. Coming from non-film music backgrounds, Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy carved a niche for themselves in the music industry based on their sheer talent.
Shankar Mahadevan: the main vocalist of the trio was born and brought up in Mumbai. Hailing from a Tamil Iyer family, he has been trained in Hindustani classical music and Carnatic music since his childhood. He worked as a software engineer for Oracle before kicking off his musical career.
Ehsaan Noorani: is the lead guitarist of the trio. He is also the only Indian musician to have endorsed his own line of Fender guitars.
Loy Mendosa: is a multi-talented musical genius who plays various instruments like the bass, guitar, harmonica and the trumpet. He caught his first break in music when he started composing music for the show "Quiz Time" by Siddharth Basu.
