About

This is a solo Kathak production that reimagines the act of approaching god. Not as ritual. Not as surrender. As conversation.

One dancer. Four gods. Ganesha, Shiva, Devi, and Krishna. At each door she arrives with the prayers she was taught, the rituals she was given. At each door, a different silence. And between the silences, a language that is neither fully classical nor fully contemporary, but something that happens when tradition is asked questions it was never designed to answer.

Original kavitts, Hindi poetry, and traditional Kathak compositions share space with elements that feel urgently, unexpectedly modern. The ancient and the immediate sit in the same room. Devotion and doubt share the same breath.

This is not mythology retold. It is mythology questioned. And in the space between the asking and the silence, the dancer discovers an answer that no god gave her.
