Anwesshaa is a multilingual Indian singer and composer known for her work in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Kannada, and several other Indian languages. She rose to fame at age 13 through Chhote Ustaad on national television and began her playback career with the Bengali film Khela (2008). Her Bollywood debut came with Golmaal Returns at just 14. With over 500 film songs to her credit, Anwesshaa has lent her voice to movies like Raanjhanaa, Revolver Rani, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, and Do Lafzon Ki Kahani, among many others. She has also sung in regional and international projects, including Bangladeshi films. In 2023, she made her debut as a composer with the Marathi film Pahije Jatiche, handling both music and background score. A recipient of the Filmfare Award (East), Anwesshaa continues to be a dynamic and evolving presence in Indian music.
