

The Archaeological Site Museum is situated inside the complex of the Gwalior Fort. It displays the rich history and culture of ancient Gwalior and surrounding areas like Naresar, Bateshwar, Padawali and Amrol. The museum showcases a diverse collection of stone sculptures, inscriptions, coins, prehistoric weapons, jewellery, and other antique items belonging to different centuries. The earliest sculptures to adorn the museum are the ones from Mitawali. Here, visitors can also find sculptures from Kherat, Rannod and Padawali periods, between the 8th century and 10th century AD.
