We, at Authenticook and the good folks at Neel sat down to discuss what cuisine should we introduce the city of Mumbai to?

We decided to go ahead with a cuisine which isn’t that well known and packs a punch. So here’s what we came up with.

Introducing the ‘Konkani Muslim Special’ at Neel Powai.

Authenticook Home-chefs and cousins, Mumtaz and Sameera along with the chefs at Neel will be curating a menu that celebrates the Konkani Muslim culture.

Born in a Konkani Muslim family, Mumtaz and Sameera hail from Harnai, a traditional fishing village in Ratnagiri District. Like most of the girls back in that time, they started cooking at an early age and learnt most of the traditional cooking from their mothers. The sisters are extremely passionate about cooking and feeding their friends and family. Mumtaz has been compiling all the recipes she has learnt since she was a kid and hopes to write a cookbook someday.
