A cozy table, a mother’s kitchen, and wholesome stories.
Baithak is a family-led supper club, hosting just 6–8 guests per sitting for a thoughtfully curated experience where food and the stories behind it matter equally. Shaped by 25+ years of life across India and travel abroad, our table reflects the cultures and kitchens we’ve lived with.
About this event:
🌾 Punjabi Virasat | A Baithak Supper
Punjabi Virasat is an intimate, retro supper inspired by the slow kitchens and small towns of Punjab, where food was cooked patiently, meals were shared generously, and hospitality came without ceremony.
🍽️ The Experience
This is a host-led, 5-course vegetarian supper served at a shared table, designed to be unhurried and deeply comforting. Each course is introduced with a narrative or personal story from Punjabi life, adding context, memory, and meaning to what’s on your plate.
🥛 To Begin
The evening opens with a chilled Amrood ki Craft Lassi, made with fresh pink guava, rose, and mint, inspired by old chatti ki lassi served in Punjabi homes.
🥙 Starters
Familiar street-side flavors, elevated with care. From Chat de Chatkare with artisanal chutneys to Shaan-e-Soya Kebabs, hand-seared and gently spiced with garden-fresh greens.
🌿 The Heart of the Meal
At the center is Sarson da Saag, slow-simmered with hand-ground spices, served alongside flame-charred Makki di Roti finished with homemade white makhan.
The table is completed with Sardiyon da Achar, a cooling spiced raita, and a touch of gud and shakkar to balance the earthiness of the meal, just as it has been done traditionally.
🍮 To End on a Sweet Note
The supper closes with Dil-se Gajar ka Halwa, slow-cooked in milk and khoya, rich, warm, and deeply nostalgic.
