Devansh Gandhi is a Contemporary dancer/ choreographer, based off Bangalore. All the performers including Devansh have have graduated from Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts.

The story of 'Black is the Colour' started as a personal journey to understand and connect with Devanshs’ trysts with sleep paralysis and insomnia. The initial exploration with the team about what “Black" meant for each of the performers revealed shared experiences relating to sleep. Inspired by their own individual experiences of sleepless nights, lucid dreams…etc., they explored and evoked intimate responses from physical and mental spaces. Working with breath patterns, glitches, improvisations, darkness and light to unveil unconscious impulses and fears triggered through the subconscious mind, the piece is a very sensory experience for both the performers and the audience.
