Featuring multiple hilarious comedians from our collective, with deeply engaging performances grounded within the personal as well as the political, the show uses humour and belly-aching laughter, to highlight the absurd realities of caste, other intersecting forms of oppression and the importance of seeking, creating and amplifying Joy among it all.

Taking place over 90 entertainment packed minutes, this is a one of kind standup comedy line up that you won’t want to miss!

Associated with the anti-caste movement, the color blue signifies the sky, a symbol of non-discrimination, under which everyone is treated equally while at the same time 'Blue' comedy is a genre of comedy that is often labelled off-color, risqué, indecent or “profane”.

Which is exactly the duality that inspired our name: Blue Material, and we are India’s first,Dalit-led, queer affirmative comedy collective. 

Heading to Bangalore to go on the record, both shows will have cameras rolling and we’re so pumped to make you a part of our archives, so join us for an evening you won’t forget! 

Proceeds from the show will be donated towards education reform via the Eklavya India Foundation, a prestigious organisation focused on the upliftment of first generation university students from historically marginalised communities.
