BONEDI BARIR DURGA PUJO PARIKRAMA 2026
Exclusive Bonedi Puja Tour – Maha Nabami
Presented by Trek Break and More
Welcome to Bonedi Barir Pujo Parikrama 2026, a celebration steeped in the history, heritage, and culture of Bengal.
The history of Durga Puja in Bengal spans over 500 years. Bengal, once the capital of India and a major centre of trade, agriculture, and industry, witnessed the evolution of the grand Akal Bodhan Puja tradition.
With the arrival of the British, Bengal's social and economic landscape began to transform. Bengali zamindars and affluent families played an important role in this changing era, and Durga Puja gradually became a symbol of prestige and grandeur in the Bonedi Baris (heritage mansions) of Bengal.
These historic homes preserve stories of a bygone era through their architecture, traditions, lifestyle, food, and, of course, their unique Durga Puja celebrations. This experience offers an opportunity to explore that rich heritage and witness the connection between Bengal's glorious past and its vibrant present.
The experience will feature the Maha Nabami Puja Darshan of:
1. Garalgacha Babuder Bari
2. Janai Kali Babur Bari
3. Baksha Mittir Bari
4. Baksha Chaudhari Bari
5. Sreerampore Rajbari
