SA is a celebrated name in the independent hip-hop scene, emerging from Malappuram, Kerala. Known primarily as a rapper and lyricist, SA has carved a distinct identity, pushing boundaries within regional hip-hop. His artistry has played a pivotal role in pioneering a contemporary sound that resonates with today’s generation, capturing local culture with a global appeal.

3) Lil Payyan

Lil Payyan (Sabar Musthafa) is a 20-year-old Malayalam rapper known for his impactful lyrics and a unique style that deeply resonates with the youth.

4) Joker

Joker (Fazin Rasheed) is a powerful voice in Malayalam hip hop. He blends traditional Malayalam themes with modern rap to create a distinct sound.

5) EFY

EFY is celebrated for his rapid-fire delivery, sharp lyrical battles, and raw authenticity. From Ponnani, he pioneers a cultural fusion in Malayalam rap.

6) Wraith V

Vishnu Prasad, aka Wraith V, is an Indian producer and hybrid DJ who has defined a unique Indian bass music sound. Founder of Devil Inside Records.

7) Azwin

One of the youngest multi-genre producers in Kerala. Known for simple yet hard-hitting production.

8) Abu x Wrong

From Kasaragod, Abu x Wrong revolutionised Malayalam melodic rap. Known for the hit “Kaliyugam” and socially conscious lyrics.

9) Amani KL10

Amani is a DJ, producer, and sound engineer blending regional EDM and hip-hop.

10) Nazeeb Billu

Blends hip-hop, Afrobeat, R&B, and blues into a captivating mix of catchy hooks and heartfelt lyrics.

11) MC Mushti

High-energy rapper with street storytelling and desi trap style. Known for intensity and authenticity.

12) DH

Dhanush Unnikrishnan (DH) is known for deep cultural references and raw street energy. A pioneer of Malayalam rap.
