In this immersive workshop, get introduced to relief art through the coiling technique, a foundational hand-building method in ceramics. You will learn to create raised surfaces on a flat clay base and how coils can be used not just for form but also for texture, pattern, and visual rhythm.
Learn how to roll even coils, control thickness, and place them thoughtfully to build layered surfaces. The focus is on slow, intentional hand movements, improving tactile awareness, coordination, and surface control.
The workshop encourages experimentation with patterns inspired by nature, geometry, and personal expression, while also teaching structural stability and clean finishing. By the end of the workshop, each participant creates a unique clay relief artwork that dries into a sturdy form and can be used as a beautiful decorative piece in the home :)
Note: Pieces created in this workshop will not be fired. However, they can be painted and used as decor pieces once dry.
