Build your own pot, one coil at a time. Discover the traditional coil-building technique and learn how simple rolls of clay can gradually come together to form a functional handmade vessel. This is a relaxed, hands-on workshop where you’ll build your piece entirely by hand.

What you’ll explore:

• Learn how to prepare and work with clay

• Make and handle even clay coils

• Build the walls of your vessel layer by layer

• Learn how to join and strengthen the coils

• Shape and refine your pot as it takes form

You don’t need any previous pottery experience — you’ll be guided through each stage of the process.

By the end of the session, you’ll have created your own handmade coil-built pottery piece to take home. The final shape and appearance may vary depending on individual technique and the time available.
