Colonial Cousins
The Indian duo that rocked all through the 90s, Colonial Cousins was formed by singer Hariharan and singer-composer Leslee Lewis. Their eponymous first album hit platinum in sales in India alone and consistently headed the Indian music charts in 1996. If that isn’t enough, the numerous awards will give you an idea of their popularity all through the years - which includes the MTV Asia Viewers' Choice Award, 1996, and the US Billboard's Viewers' Award, 1996. On Nov 19, 1998, the Colonial Cousins released their second album, The Way We Do It, and on Jan 1, 2001 they released their third album titled Aatma. Besides working on commercial music individually, this duo has scored tracks for two Tamil films - Modhi Vilayadu (2009), and Chikku Bukku (2010). Their fourth album Once More was released in 2012.
