About the venue

A creative workshop exploring rhythm, repetition, and pattern through traditional textile practices and abstraction.

Inspired by KNMA’s ongoing exhibition In-Rhythm, featuring the works of Nasreen Mohamedi and Bice Lazzari, this workshop explores how lines, grids, and repeated forms come together to create visual rhythms and structures. Drawing from patterns found in the natural world, such as the intricate structure of a spider’s web, and the rhythms of woven textiles, participants will discover connections between abstraction and traditional craft practices.

Taking inspiration from Patola weaving and cross-stitch embroidery, participants will create their own repeating patterns using traditional motifs. Through grids, symmetry, and repetition, they will explore how simple elements can come together to form intricate compositions.

FREE WOMAN OWNED AND RUN PLACE. HELL YEAH I LOVED EVERY OF BIT OF IT. I visited the Kiran Nadar Museum for the first time, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did. It was my first-ever visit to an art gallery, and I walked out completely in awe. Ever since then, I’ve become a bit of an art gallery junkie. The best part? Entry is completely free. All you gotta do is sign your name when you walk in, and that’s it. There was barely any crowd, which made the whole experience feel so calm and peaceful. The staff were also incredibly kind and welcoming. When I visited, there was an exhibition featuring Tyeb Mehta’s work. His work makes you stop, look, and reflect on the world around you instead of just walking past them. I found myself spending much longer with each piece than I expected. Another bonus is that the museum is inside DLF Mall, so once you’re done exploring the galleries, you can grab a bite, shop, or just walk around. It makes for such a nice day out. Overall, I’d give it a solid 10/10. Whether you’re into art or have never stepped inside a gallery before, I’d absolutely recommend visiting. It’s peaceful, inspiring, and surprisingly memorable.Read More

Went there for a Book reading. Was pleasantly surprised with how safe I felt here. The venue is in a safe space with no fear of Fire, or parking issues. Venues like these in Delhi are rare. Worth going or organising events here. Parking is 30 rupees upto 3 hours for bikes, which is reasonable. URead More

I visited KNMA when it was showcasing Tyeb Mehta's creative works. Each and every room was presented on a particular theme or concept with different colors, and I really loved the ambiance and the lighting in every room. Coincidentally, the day I visited was the last day of the exhibition and also the artist's birthday!Read More
