An extraordinary evening where centuries-old storytelling meets sharp modern wit: the classic 13th-century art of Dastangoi faces off against Jumlebaazi- a vibrant form of oral storytelling powered by rapid-fire wordplay, clever rhyming, and spontaneous punchlines create on the spot with audience.

The Jumlebaaz performs as an interactive master improviser, using theatrical delivery, expressive voice modulation, and vivid gestures to bring tales to life without formal props or dynamic stage sets. Relying on audience prompts, words, or contexts, the performer instantly weaves unscripted stories and verses using sharp, rhyming punchlines.

Performer: The show's artists, Aastha Shukla and Tasneem Sundd, are seasoned theatre practitioners who have been practicing theatre and performing Dastangoi for the past many years.

Director and performer: Syed Sahil Agha, comes from the 750-year-old tradition of Dastangoi & Jumlebaazi, which traces its origins to the Sufi poet Amir Khusrau and the Delhi Gharana.
