Dhrupad, one of North Indian classical music’s oldest living traditions, carries a centuries-old legacy, from Hindu temples and royal courts to contemporary performances for audiences across the spectrum.


Conceptualised by Sumeet, this presentation traces the fascinating journey of Dhrupad through a curated selection of raag, taal and compositions, interwoven with insights into their historical significance, cultural context and evolution over time.


His vocals will be accompanied by the Pakhawaj, Sarangi and Tanpura instruments deeply rooted in the traditional Dhrupad repertoire bringing alive the depth, richness and timeless character of this extraordinary musical tradition.
