A workshop exploring rhythm, movement, and abstraction through the simplest elements of drawing.
Explore how dots and lines create rhythm, structure, and movement through drawing. Led by artist Sarita Chouhan, the workshop draws inspiration from the practices of Nasreen Mohamedi and Bice Lazzari, inviting participants to experiment with simple marks and discover how they interact within space.
Through a series of playful exercises involving movement and stillness, participants translate bodily gestures and spatial experiences into drawings. Requiring no prior drawing experience, the workshop encourages participants to see lines not just as marks on paper, but as a way of sensing, responding to, and experiencing the world around them.
