About the Event
Saturday Family Workshop
Inspired by KNMA’s ongoing exhibition please touch gently, celebrating zines, comics, and everyday creativity, this Saturday Family Workshop invites families to tell their own stories through drawing and simple book-making. Zines often capture personal voices, memories, and emotions — much like stories passed down through generations.
In this session, participants will learn to combine words and drawings to create short visual stories inspired by family moments, traditions, and shared experiences. The workshop encourages families to reflect, draw together, and turn their stories into small keepsake comics that can be cherished and shared.
Audience Takeaways:
- Learn how drawings can express memory, emotion, and story
- Develop visual literacy and sequencing skills through comic-making
- Explore how personal and collective histories can be archived through art
- Create a family comic that connects generations through creativity and dialogue
While you’re here, we invite you to also explore KNMA’s ongoing exhibitions — please touch gently: zines, comics, ephemera ; jo ġāyab hai, aur hāzir bhi – book sculptures of Saba Hasan ; Extraordinary Line; and Moomin 80 – The Door is Always Open, the first-ever Moomin presentation in India.
