With two Indian documentary features hustling their way to the Oscars stage over the past two years — Writing With Fire and All That Breathes — and one Indian documentary short even winning — The Elephant Whisperers — this is undoubtedly a moment worth celebrating. Like any celebration, this is also a moment to take stock, of recognizing the shoulders on which this was made possible, and fashioning a roadmap as we go ahead. To that end, there is a Masterclass with documentary filmmaker Anand Patwardhan, conversations where filmmakers interface, exchanging notes on craft, politics, the future, and films that range from the rough and feline to the polished and prosaic. 

A Night of Knowing Nothing - L, a university student in India, writes letters to her estranged lover, while he is away. Through these letters, we get a glimpse into the drastic changes taking place around her. Merging reality with fiction, dreams, memories, fantasies, and anxieties, an amorphous narrative unfolds.
