
Step into the world of Gamelan, the distinctive ensemble music of Bali, where layers of percussion, rhythm and melody come together as one.
Led by Padma Shri awardee Dr Wayan Dibia and team, this hands-on workshop introduces participants to the instruments, sounds and playing techniques that form a Gamelan ensemble. Explore rhythm, listening, coordination and the relationship between individual instruments and the collective sound of the group, as part of the festival, Bali in Bengaluru.
An opportunity to learn directly from practitioners and experience the musical traditions of Bali from within the ensemble.
