Gond art is a folk and tribal art practiced by one of the largest tribes in India, i.e. Gond community of Madhya Pradesh. The Gond word comes from the Dravidian expression, Kond meaning ‘green mountain’. The paintings in Gond Art mostly depict nature and the human relationship with the natural habitat.
