High Spirits welcomes Shanka Tribe — Kerala’s pioneering nature-trance and organic-trance collective — for a night of hypnotic rhythms, live instrumentation and an experience unlike your usual Friday gig.

Formed in 2011, Shanka Tribe has spent over a decade carving out a unique space in India’s independent music scene, blending tribal rhythms, folk influences, trance and global sounds into an immersive live experience. Their music brings together instruments from across the world — including didgeridoo, oud, handpan, djembe, morchang, flute and percussion — alongside modern electronic textures.

The Tribe has taken this sound to some of India's most distinctive music and cultural spaces, including Bloom In Green Festival, where they shared the lineup with international acts such as Kaya Project, Prem Joshua & Band and Suduaya, as well as Me Festival alongside acts including Europe and Euphoria.

And their live show isn't just about the music. Shanka Tribe traditionally begins its performances with the sound of the shanku — a conch shell — symbolising purification and awakening, setting the tone for the journey that follows.

Expect deep tribal grooves, hypnotic rhythms, live percussion, earthy instrumentation and a dance floor that gradually pulls you deeper into the sound.
