Filmmaker, music composer, and writer Vishal Bhardwaj has spent three decades building a body of work unlike any other in Indian cinema, from his celebrated Shakespeare trilogy of Maqbool, Omkara, and Haider, to films like Kaminey and 7 Khoon Maaf, each marked by his distinctive blend of literary depth, dark humour, and unforgettable music.
In this inaugural session of Abbey 301's film series, How In the Film Did I Get Here?, Bhardwaj will walk the audience through key moments from his influences, in film, music, and other forms, revealing the vision, struggles, and instincts behind his most iconic films.
He will then present a screening of one of his films, followed by a closing interaction/Q&A
