About the Artform

The study of anatomy begins at least as early as 1600 BC, with Edwin Smith's Surgical Papyrus. This treatise recognized the heart, its vessels, liver, spleen, kidneys, hypothalamus and bladder, and that the blood vessels were known to emanate from the heart.

About the workshop

Do you have the urge to draw but are you always unable to express yourself?

This 3-day workshop is an introduction to learn the fundamentals of how to draw basic human and cartoon proportions and faces. You will learn human proportions and then practically use them to make detailed figures. This is a power packed course after which you will be able to able to upgrade your drawings into well polished artistic artworks.

Elements you will learn

Day 1- Learn to make lines and circles, and divide them into human anatomical proportions from the front and side view

Day 2- Learn to draw human poses, give the skeleton some volume, and make male and female forms

Day 3: Explore human faces from side and profile view and also learn to give reference images your own character

Who is this workshop “just right” for?

• This workshop is ideal for those who want to create their art through human figures and expressions
• If you are a storyteller, you will enjoy this thoroughly
• It is a beginner friendly workshop. (Age: 15+)

Materials Required

• 20-30 sheets of normal printer paper- preferably printed with a grid. You will receive a grid file post registration please print a black and white, back to back copy of this on atleast 20 pages
• Pencil and eraser (HB preferable)
• 5- 6 Tracing papers
• Compass (optional)
• Black sketch pen/ brush pen/ ink Pen/ ball pen (Optional)
• You can use a grid paper with a light grid/ make your own grid of 20cm square instead of printing it
