Dive into a fusion of singer-songwriters with an acoustic music vibe on Day 1 and the raw energy of hip-hop artists on Day 2. “Indie Grrrl” is a term that emerged in the music scene in the US and Europe in the 80s. It is particularly associated with indie rock and punk genres. The term typically refers to female musicians who embrace an ethos, often producing and distributing their music. The term emphasizes empowerment and independence within their music and image.

Co-Founded by Sanoli Chowdhury & Vinod Gadher, Indie Grrrl aims to create an independent female artists movement in India. They coordinate, share, and help each other further their careers and also learn to lobby their interests with national music organizations.

Ramyaa Hariharan

Born and raised in New Delhi, singer-songwriter Ramyaa has been honing on her musicianship for the past decade. Originally trained in carnatic music in her early teenage years, music has always been a part of her upbringing, coupled with her love for alternative/indie music in later years. She was the winner of the the Singer-Songwriter 2022 contest by Grayspark Studio, Pune.

Rohini Maiti

Ro Maiti is an interdisciplinary artist from Mumbai, India. As a singer-songwriter she is exploring soul, electronic, RnB and alternative styles in her music.

Sanoli Chowdhury

Sanoli Chowdhury is an Indian singer-songwriter, music producer and audio engineer based out of Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Her journey as a musician started at the age of 7 with the guitar and now extends into the realm of vocals, production and engineering. Sanoli is also the Co-Founder of Indie Grrrl.

DAY 2 : Oct 27

Meghna Upadhyay

Meghna is an indie rap artist and poet who has been performing at gigs, cyphers and events. She has also hosted some rap cyphers and open mics. She wants to throw light on taboo topics and women issues through her work and express her own plight dealing with them.

Wild Wild Women

Wild Wild Women is India’s first all-female hip hop crew with five rappers, a producer, two B-girls and a graffiti artist. The crew comprises of rappers - Pratika, Krantinaari, Hashtagpreeti, JQueen and MC Mahila. Pratika also produces music for the crew. BGirl FlowRaw and BGirl MGK, along with artist Gauri, bring in the essence of hip hop culture with their fire moves and art.
