About Janmavaari:

Janmavaari is a two-act Marathi play, which is a beautiful blend of drama and music.

‘Janmavaari’ was scripted with a belief that life is a journey, driven by the body but directed

and destined by the soul. In every birth, our path may differ, but our soul's ultimate destination remains constant.

In this play, ‘Janmavaari' we see the parallel lives of ‘Manjiri’ and ‘Kanhopatra.’ The 35-year-old ‘Manjiri’, has unprotestingly inherited prostitution from her mother, while the young ‘Kanhopatra’ stands on the edge of a similar, yet forceful inheritance. ‘Manjiri’s’ story is set in 2023, whereas, ’Kanhopatra’s’ story is based in the 15th century, though centuries apart, the quest for their souls remains constant. Both their lives are enlightened as ‘Manjiri’ meets

‘Vrinda’ and ‘Kanhopatra' meets ‘Vitha’, as they discover their true purpose of life.
